About Ian
Born in November 1993, Ian got his start in writing and drawing from a very young age. For as long as he can remember, he was drawing characters, writing stories, and mashing them together in some fashion.
Ian became an illustrator primarily, starting with making game assets for Neopets clone websites at the ripe age of 13. With some failed attempts at webcomics peppered in, this formed the bulk of his experience for many years until he began showing his art at conventions in 2015, beginning with Sakura Con. Since then he’s attended hundreds of shows across the country, making the complete switch from fanart to his all-originals brand of Primordial Pals starting in 2019 at Anthrocon. He has happily made it his primary work since.
Conversely, Ian has spent most of his life having writing as a very private affair. Most writing was in the form of text roleplays between friends or short stories, with the occasional attempt at fanfiction. It wasn’t until 2021 that he finished his debut novel, MERCY, and began to consider writing more seriously. He’s found the support for his writing wildly new and strange, especially having it go from very private to not at all, but he appreciates the enthusiasm regardless.
